Great Top Crust Hack
Baking a fruit pie and don’t want to take the time to roll out a top crust? Using crumbs on top is a great alternative. In fact you may like it so much that it will be your go-to topping. This recipe makes three cups of topping. You will not use the whole recipe on one pie. Store the remaining topping in the freezer for an instant top.
Pie Topping Crumbs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup cold butter
- Mix flour and brown sugar together.
- Cut in butter to a crumble consistency.
- Store any remaining contents in a tightly covered container or plastic bag in freezer.
