Easy Apple Galette
Nothing fancy here. Just a rustic looking pastry that is very tasty. The galette is easy to put together quickly and can be served at anytime, especially at breakfast time. This recipe originated from a recipe by Mark Bittman. I took the liberty of jazzing the recipe up a bit by adding nutmeg, cloves, butter, and sparking sugar.
The crust for the galette is a special crust that uses more sugar than regular pie crust recipes. Get the galette crust recipe here.
